How To Make The Best Strawberry Smoothie
As always, I recommend checking out these step-by-step instructions and the recipe video first. Then you can find the full recipe with the exact quantities below in the recipe card!
Step 1: Blend all ingredients until creamy
Place all ingredients in a blender, breaking the banana into pieces. Then blend until creamy (stopping the blender occasionally to scrape down the sides as needed).

Step 2: Enjoy!
Now you can garnish your smoothie with a strawberry, shredded coconut and mint if you like. Then either serve immediately or store in a sealed jar or bottle in the fridge.

Healthy Smoothie Variations
The vegan strawberry smoothie becomes really thick and creamy thanks to the banana and coconut milk. It tastes best when the bananas are very ripe and have brown spots. Besides strawberries and bananas, you can also add other fruits. If you don’t like bananas, feel free to sub avocados and maple syrup or yogurt. Instead of strawberries, you can also use raspberries, blueberries, cherries, nectarines, or whatever you like and have at home.
For an extra dose of vitamin C, feel free to add a squeeze of orange, lemon or lime. Exotic fruits like mango, pineapple, and melon also complement the smoothie beautifully – just get creative!
Strawberry Banana Smoothie without Coconut Milk
Of course, if you don’t like coconut milk, feel free to use another dairy-free milk. Keep in mind, however, that the richer the milk alternative, the creamier the smoothie will be. To make the smoothie richer and nuttier, you can simply add some nut butter. Other non-dairy products like yogurt & co can also be added.
Add Oats, Nuts and Seeds
For even more nutrients, you can also add other ingredients like oats, nuts or seeds. With flax seeds, hemp seeds or chia seeds you have another good portion of omega-3 in your smoothie. In addition, the smoothie looks much nicer if you decorate it with desiccated coconut, fresh mint leaves or basil or other toppings!

How Long Do Smoothies Last?
Homemade smoothies can be stored in the refrigerator for a maximum of 2 days. Since they only keep for a few hours unrefrigerated, you should either drink them immediately or keep them refrigerated.
Can You Freeze Homemade Smoothies?
Sure. In fact, smoothies freeze very well. To keep as many nutrients as possible in the strawberry smoothie, you should freeze it as fresh as possible.
